Do you have more garden than gardener?
Is there a small landscaping project you just can’t wait to finish? Plants you never think you’ll get in the ground? More weeds than you can manage? I’ll do your gardening and landscaping with a Permaculture twist. Will work on a job-by-job basis or as your weekly/monthly routine gardener, working area is restricted to Clark County, WA (If you are farther away, please send me an email and we can work out additional distance charges).
With my background as a WSU Master Gardener and OSU Certified Permaculture designer, I will create results that last, tailoring the work to the the specific needs of your garden and your plants.
My gardening services include:
- Mulch Spreading
- Creation of new Gardens
- Disease Diagnosis
- Problem Solving
- General Garden Maintenance
I love to-do lists! Set me up with a bunch of gardening projects and chores, and I’ll go until the list is finished or until the end of the agreed upon work day.
Please send me an email, I’m happy to answer any questions. We can talk about what work will be involved, scheduling, how many days a project might take, and other expectations.
After this, if you would like, I can start with a site visit for introductions and a project overview. In other cases I can get started the first day.
I bring some tools along with me, however please provide any larger tools needed to complete the requested project. This can be discussed on a job-by-job basis.
I will not apply pesticides/herbicides, nor will I opperate any large machinery.
For example, Cathy had a riverbank garden in Washougal that had become overgrown with weeds. In one 7 hour day of work, I thoroughly weeded the bank (digging out roots of perennial weeds to the best of my ability), restacked rock that act as retaining walls and dug holes in rocky soil into which I planted a variety of native erosion control plants Cathy provided. Along the way, we together decided which plants would be most appropriate where, depending on cultural requirements and mature plant height.
Rebecca just moved onto a new property where there were some overgrown gardens already present. Rebecca has no gardening experience, nor the time to spend outside, however she wanted to beautify her site and harvest vegetables to enjoy and share with her friends. I provided a few gardening books and magazines and she looked at pictures to develop her preferred garden style. She provided the financing and I purchased plants and supplies, and implemented and now maintain the garden on her site.
Thanks for your interest! I look forward to working with you.
